Yeah a new star wars clone wars series is being released soon. I've seen the trailer and it looks good. So anyways what do any of you think about it. Do you think that the series will last long or be cancelled a year after being released?

I also heard of a live action Star Wars series coming out. anyone heard any information on it?

I did not have much clone wars serie seen, but I am not so enthusiastic about the series only on the computer made

I think, the series will be a success, although it's made for kids and teens. The series is going to start with a movie, released on the 15th of August in cinemas, and one or two months later, the series is going to be released in TV on Cartoon Network. The movie is going to be about Jabba the Hutts son, which has being kidnapped, and the Jedi want to free him, because they want the Hutt-Clan to be their ally.

The live-action-series is far in the future, till now, there are only some authors writing scripts. The series will take place between the Episodes 3 and 4 and Boba Fett may will be a part of it. Shootings may begin in 2009, and the series won't be released before 2010. It will be made for adults....

hmm series? i know theres a clone wars movie coming out august 15 its all animated and yodas ears look more pointy then ever lol

Yeah, and after the movie, the series (which is also animated) is going to be released in fall on Cartoon Network. The movie is an introduction, but it's story stands alone.

Lucas said, that they are still wirting scripts for the live-action-series (not animated), and they want to start shooting in 2009, mabye 2010.

I've also seen the trailer and I'm somehow disappointed.
I watched the two "Clone Wars"-DVDs and thought something like "Hm, merchandising, but well made. Not really the kind of look I would expect from a Star-Wars-cartoon."
Now that I've seen the trailer of the animated movie I think "Wow, it's getting worse."

Come on, Nightfall, you must not compare TCW with the Star Wars-Saga, because TCW is a project, which stands alone. It's not getting worse, the old Clone Wars-series was non-stop-action, TCW is going to have a story beside the action, although this story isn't the best.
Star Wars is for kids, so don't complain, that TCW is made for kids.
The first grown-up Star Wars will be seen in the realseries....

If you just don't like the style, I can't say anything against your arguments.

The movie was great fun!
The story's easy, there are barley emotions, but it's just fun to watch!
It's not too childish, although there is humor in it, but the jokes also work.

Well yeah I've also watched it today and I must admit it could have been worse. The saber fights were poor though, they've always jumped from one move to another there were no transitions between them =/

i agree the movie couldv'e been worse but im glad they made another star wars movie cuz i really like star wars its too bad they're not gonna do episodes 7,8,9 but who knows maybe they will but im glad they're making the clone wars ones cuz in episode 2 they had this big momentus event the clone wars have begun and then u watch episode 3 and theres some clone war action in the beginning but not much else so it left me thinking "Wtf what happened to the clone wars" so its good they're making this new series
